Yeppoon

Yeppoon - The Jewel of the Capricorn Coast

Yeppoon is our little secret. A town of only 8000 full time residents, the hidden beauty of this place is undeniable. Situated just 38 km North of Rockhampton, Yeppoon is the gateway to the Great Keppel Island and the famous Great Barrier Reef. The island is home to 17 white sand beaches that are accessible by boat and open to swimming, snorkeling and diving. The island’s clear waters are rich with tropical coloured fish, turtles and an abundance of other marine life. The island itself is a sanctuary full of wildlife including over 100 species of Birds, Kookaburras, Rainbow Lorikeets and a range of Seabirds. Back on the mainland, Yeppoon has a mix of art murals and aboriginal heritage culture. The recently completed Yeppoon Lagoon is the ultimate pool hangout, we envision a Vegas style pool party here one day (One can only dream/ask!)

GVH insider tip

We suggest a leisurely stroll down Yeppoon’s main street to browse eccentric boutiques and keep an eye out for one of the many new, jaw-dropping street art
