Are you down for some discovery and up to the challenge? The team at GVH has a specially curated trip for young adventurers looking for their fix of fun in Australia. Our East Coast voyage has been specially picked for you, and a group of equally keen adventurers, to learn a few things about the country that you’ll be surprised even existed. We have the two-week adventure of your life waiting for you on the other side of this button.
We’ll meet at a pre-determined spot in Brisbane at a popular hotel because hotels are usually easy landmarks for tourists to navigate to. If you’re flying in from somewhere else in the country or offshore, let us know, and we can organise the relevant transport. Even if you’re travelling by bus, we’re happy to help you find your way to Point Zero of your new adventure. After we get the slightly awkward introductions out of the way, it’s time to get to know each other over a few drinks and settle those nerves!
Next morning the true adventure begins, it is a short 2 hour drive in our private bus to the coolest town in Australia. Byron Bay is known for its chilled hippy vibe, epic surf spots and the Beach Hotel! Our first optional activity is Kayaking with the Dolphins, if you're up for it, you will learn about local history, aboriginal history, the lighthouse, dolphins, whales and turtles. See the most Easterly point of the Australian mainland. This is all part of your Byron Bay sea kayak experience. If you prefer to do your own thing for a few hours, that's totally fine too! We will meet you at the famous Byron Beach hotel for a drink later!
After a cruisy morning in Byron, we jump back in the bus for a short 1 hour drive up to the mighty Gold Coast. We will check in to the accommodation defore cruising to Currumbin Alley for a Surf Lesson (Weather permitting!) Once again, attendance is optional but trust me, if you have never surfed, this may be the best place in Australia to learn! There are also some good breaks for the more experienced surfers of the group. Later on, the party animals amongst us will be heading out to Surfers Paradise to check out the nightlife
Next day, we head up to Noosa, one of the nicest beach towns in Australia. Such an epic vibe in this town! Once we check in, you are free to roam the main street shopping or head to the amazing Noosa Heads Beach. There is a beautiful coastal walking track that takes you to some amazing beaches that we will check out for sure! Then we will hit one of the most epic surf clubs for dinner before a game of volleyball at sunset on the beach. Don't worry if you have never played, it's just a bit of fun!
Once again, we have a chilled morning in Noosa before jumping on the bus for a 4 hour drive to Seventeen Seventy. Most have not heard of the beautiful Seventeen Seventy, and the locals probably wish it would stay that way! But we won’t bother them as we explore the town and beaches. There are Stand up Paddle boards we can hire and a few other activities to get involved in while the team fires up the BBQ. Fingers crossed for the perfect weather that makes an evening here one for the memory bank!
After a chilled day and night in Seventeen Seventy, we jump back on the bus and head for Yepoon. Once again, you may not have heard of this epic town, but rest assured, we are going to have some fun at the Yeppoon Lagoon! If you want to discover other interesting things about this town, there’s a national park to explore, boutiques for shopaholics and a buzzing art scene.
After a chilled lagoon experience, we’ll set off for another bus trip to Airlie Beach the next morning. When we arrive, we’ll check in at Nomads Airlie Beach, located right in the centre of town. It has all the fixings like a resort style swimming pool, tropical gardens, a volleyball court, and a poolside bar. Dinner with the group is on us, then you’re free to explore everything that the town has to offer.
Once we’ve arrived in Whitsunday’s after a short trip from Airlie beach, it’s time to brace for an epic 2-day, 2-night boat trip on a comfortable, fully air conditioned and spacious vessel at 69ft long! This part of the trip is covered in the overall cost, so all you have to do is enjoy the array of activities and enjoy the experience. Highlights include:
We’ll complete our two-day sail excursion and jump onto the bus for a trip to Magnetic Island. We’ll arrive by Ferry and leave with a new optimism for life! This place is bursting at the seams with marine life, beautiful coral reefs and waters bluer than a bottle of Gatorade.. Magnetic Island is the perfect pocket of paradise in this part of the trip, and it promises sunshine, koalas, hiking trails, snorkelling adventures, and more!
We finish up in tropical Cairns, once we check in, we go waterfall hunting in the Atherton Tablelands. Once we have had enough of getting wet, it’s time to wet the whistle at the famous Gilligan's Hostel and Bar and have one last hoorah before everyone goes their own separate way the next day. We hope you made friends for life, had an unforgettable experience and join us again on our next adventure! If you need a lift to the airport or want to stay an extra night or two at the hostel to have a holiday after your holiday, we can help!
We’ve got an amazing group travel experiences for young adventure seekers and thrill chasers! You’ll meet a group of keen worldies, as well as Aussie locals, who share the same love for the most beautiful country in the world. What are you waiting for? Let’s chase those good vibes!
